The legendary guitarist has announced his retirement from Priest with immediate effect. Full details and his replacement’s announcement inside.

Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing has announced that he has retired from the band with immediate effect. Downing will not be joining the band on their upcoming Epitaph tour and will be replaced by 31-year old former Lauren Harris guitarist, Richie Faulkner.

Não dá pra imaginar o Judas Priest sem K.K. Downing. Ele é o verdadeiro mentor da banda. Seria como existir um Black Sabbath sem Tony Iommi ou um Iron Maiden sem Steve Harris.
K.K. sair da banda, justamente durante a turnê de despedida, seria um grande desrespeito para com os fãs. A não ser que estejamos falando de algum eventual problema de saúde.
Se ele realmente sair, não há como imaginar um substituto à sua altura.
