CIRCLE PIT \\ I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN: 'Bright Enough' Video Released

"Bright Enough", the new video from the Australian metalcore outfit I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's first album in six years, "Beloved", which was released on February 18 in the U.S. via Epitaph Records.

By their own admission, I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN have endured a decidedly checkered past. Over the years the band saw multiple vocalist changes and other personnel exchanges, side-project sojourns and moonlighting in other bands, hiatuses and break-ups. Yet through it all, their musical output both live and on record has remained thoroughly inspired.

For several years, the band lay dormant, as members went on to play in other bands. In 2011, I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN reclaimed their sound, style, history, and legacy with an all-new lineup, and original member Jona Weinhofen, who spent time with BLEEDING THROUGH and BRING ME THE HORIZON. Joined by new screamer Jamie Hope (ex-RED SHORE), Shane O'Brien on drums (DEEZ NUTS), Kevin Cameron on guitar, Benjamin Coyte on bass, and of course, Jona bringing vocal choruses, guitar and keyboard to the mix.

I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN entered the studio in 2013 in Gothenburg, Sweden with Fredrik Nordström (BRING ME THE HORIZON, AT THE GATES, IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, ARCHITECTS) to record "Beloved".

"We've really extended ourselves," says Weinhofen. "But we've done it in a way where it's tasteful and it makes sense with the music. It's not like we’ve gone from sounding like a metalcore band to sounding like DIMMU BORGIR. It still sounds very much like PROM QUEEN."

CIRCLE PIT \\ SUICIDE SILENCE's 'You Can't Stop Me'

The video for the song "You Can't Stop Me", from California deathcore masters SUICIDE SILENCE can be seen below. The clip was directed by Nathan "Karma" Cox, who has previously worked with LINKIN PARK, BLACK VEIL BRIDES and MARILYN MANSON, among many others.

"You Can't Stop Me" is the title track of SUICIDE SILENCE's first album to feature new vocalist Hernan "Eddie" Hermida (ex-ALL SHALL PERISH) and their first since the tragic loss of singer Mitch Lucker. The CD will be released on July 11 in Europe (except in the U.K., where it will arrive on July 14) and July 15 in North America via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

"You Can't Stop Me" was produced and mixed by Steve Evetts (SEPULTURA, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN), who worked with the band not only on "The Black Crown", but also on some instrumental demos for the new CD just prior to Lucker's death in the fall of 2012.

CIRCLE PIT \\ WHITECHAPEL: 'Worship The Digital Age' Video

"Worship The Digital Age", the new video from Knoxville, Tennessee death metallers WHITECHAPEL, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Our Endless War", which was issued on April 29 via Metal Blade. The CD sold around 16,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 10 on The Billboard 200 chart. A ruthlessly honed effort that refuses to compromise on brutality, it is also by far the band's most streamlined, atmospheric, and emotionally powerful release, pushing every aspect of their sound to the next level.

Having progressed with every record, on "Whitechapel" the band took a stylistic leap forward, garnering a whole army of new fans and greater critical respect in the process. This determination is immediately apparent. Having started to "seriously" write in February of 2013, the album was a year in the making, the band letting the writing develop organically while putting everything under a microscope, working harder on perfecting every song than they ever had before.

Famed for their three-guitar lineup, the band has always packed a crushing sonic punch, but on "Our Endless War", they take greater advantage of this than previously. Frequently, the seven-stringers build dramatic, incredibly heavy walls of thrilling noise through interweaving their parts, making for a sonic richness that pulls listeners even further into the songs. As with all of WHITECHAPEL's releases, the heaviness does not just stem from the music but Phil Bozeman's lyrics, showing characteristic diversity across the record's ten tracks.

"Our Endless War" track listing:

01. Rise
02. Our Endless War
03. The Saw Is The Law
04. Mono
05. Let Me Burn
06. Worship The Digital Age
07. How Times Have Changed
08. Psychopathy
09. Blacked Out
10. Diggs Road

CIRCLE PIT \\ THE AMITY AFFLICTION: 'Don't Lean On Me' Video Released

The official video for the song "Don't Lean On Me" from Australian metalcore masters THE AMITY AFFLICTION can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's new album. "Let The Ocean Take Me", which will be released on June 10 via Roadrunner.

Named one of 2014's "most anticipated" albums by Alternative Press, "Let The Ocean Take Me" is available now for pre-order on the iTunes Store, with all pre-orders receiving an instant download of the album's powerful first single, "Pittsburgh". In addition, the "Pittsburgh" companion video can be seen below.

Known worldwide for its incendiary live performances, THE AMITY AFFLICTION is currently blowing up stages across North America as part of BLESSTHEFALL's "The Hollow Bodies Tour". The multi-artist trek — which also features, among others, fellow Roadrunner recording group HEARTIST — continues through mid-May. Additional North American live dates will be unveiled soon.

Urgent, aggressive, and remarkably cathartic, "Let The Ocean Take Me" is THE AMITY AFFLICTION at its most vital best. Recorded by producer Will Putney (WINDS OF PLAGUE, UPON A BURNING BODY) at guitarist Troy Brady's Evergreen Studios in Brisbane, the album pushes the band's signature post-hardcore approach to new heights of richness and diversity, providing the consummate aural partner to vocalist Joel Birch's increasingly more potent lyricism. Inspired in part by a near-death experience suffered during last year's Vans Warped Tour, songs like "Don't Lean On Me" and "FML" are fueled by desperate emotion and intense anxiety but achieve extraordinary transcendence through radical honesty and raw power.

"(The album) is about really trying to find a positive in my life again," Birch says. "Writing these songs was a very cathartic process, but I'm terrified of people listening to them and reading these lyrics because they'll know exactly what I'm thinking. I'm hiding nothing."

CIRCLE PIT \\ WHITECHAPEL: 'Our Endless War' Video Released

The official video for "Our Endless War", the title track of the fifth full-length album from Knoxville, Tennessee metallers WHITECHAPEL, can be seen below. The clip features livee performance footage directed by Naughty Mantis.

"Our Endless War" was issued on April 29 via Metal Blade.

"In typical WHITECHAPEL fashion, this CD takes the sound we have been developing over the past 8 years of our career and pushes it to new levels," says guitarist Alex Wade.

"We want each record we release to sound different, and this one is no exception.

"With dashes of every record we have done so far mixed with the intensity of a new sound, this record is sure to please fans of WHITECHAPEL, old and new."

When it came to tracking the album the band considered no one beyond Mark Lewis, who helmed "Whitechapel".

"Making the self-titled record went so well, we loved the way it came out, our label loved the way it came out, and our fans kept telling us that it was our best sounding record so it would have been stupid not to work with him again!" laughs Wade. For the artwork, the band turned again to Aaron Marsh, who supplied "Whitechapel" with its stark, arresting imagery, but again they wanted to push things to the next level.

"With the sound maturing, we felt like the artwork needed to reflect that," says Wade. "We also introduced a new logo — our old logo is classic WHITECHAPEL, and that's not something we plan on getting rid of, but as the band grows and changes we felt like we needed the logo to represent the maturity of this new WHITECHAPEL."

"Our Endless War" track listing:

01. Rise
02. Our Endless War
03. The Saw is the Law
04. Mono
05. Let Me Burn
06. Worship the Digital Age
07. How Times Have Changed
08. Psychopathy

10. Diggs Road
