"Fault Line", the new video from the Manheim, Pennsylvania-based quintet AUGUST BURNS RED, can be seen below.

"This was one of the most enjoyable videos we've ever made," says guitarist JB Brubaker. "Working with Daniel Davison was a pleasure. He had a vision for the video and knew exactly what he wanted from us before a second of footage had even been shot. The story sections of the video came out beautifully, and I'm pretty stoked on how it turned out."

"Fault Line" comes off AUGUST BURNS RED's fifth album, "Rescue & Restore", which sold nearly 26,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 9 on The Billboard 200 chart. The record arrived in stores on June 25 via Solid State Records.

The new effort, described by guitarist and principal songwriter JB Brubaker as the band’s "most ambitious album yet," turns a critical eye to the oft-maligned genre of metalcore, leading by example to prove that bands can still find exciting new ways to expand the genre.

"'Rescue & Restore' is about challenging other bands and ourselves, as well as fans of this music, to want more than whatever happens to be the current buzz," explains Brubaker.

"We've done our best with each new album to try to push our sound in new directions and we’d like to see our peers do the same.

"People need to realize that there’s not much of a difference between a metalcore song that has a couple breakdowns with a repeating chorus and the latest LADY GAGA song. This genre used to be better than that. It can still be better than that."

Throughout the album, AUGUST BURNS RED continue to do their part to challenge the conventions of heavy music. Over the course of 11 tracks, the band artfully blend piano, cello, violin, trumpet, various percussive elements and more into their sonic arsenal, taking their music into new aesthetic territory and contorting the boundaries of the genre.

With "Rescue & Restore", AUGUST BURNS RED have proven that it is possible to reshape music in a way that challenges listeners, reinvigorates fans and puts art first. But for any fans who fear AUGUST BURNS RED turning their back on the sound that catapulted them to the forefront of a genre, Brubaker advises them not to worry.

"At the end of the day, we are still a very heavy band," he explains. "'Rescue & Restore' still has plenty of really heavy stuff, techy odd meter riffs, and all the stuff that people have come to expect from us; it just has a lot more surprises along the way."

"Empire", the new video from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based Christian metalcore quintet AUGUST BURNS RED, can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's fourth album, "Leveler", which sold around 29,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 11 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"The 'Empire' video shoot was an exhausting 8 hours of sweating and head banging," explains guitarist JB Brubaker. "But it was worth the exhaustion as I think it's the coolest performance video we ever did. I especially like the old-school 'Godzilla'-looking shots that are in the middle and the coloring and filters that were applied to the post production brought everything together."

"Internal Cannon", the new video from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based Christian metalcore quintet AUGUST BURNS RED, can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's fourth album, "Leveler", which sold around 29,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 11 on The Billboard 200 chart.

AUGUST BURNS RED's previous CD, "Constellations", opened with 20,000 units in July 2009 to debut at No. 24.

"Leveler" was released on June 21 via Sollid State Records. The effort was made available in both regular and deluxe editions — a first for the band.

"We shot the 'Internal Cannon' video in the middle of nowhere in New Jersey at an old water pumping station," explains guitarist JB Brubaker. "The video was shot four stories underground at the base of a massive antique water pumping apparatus. There was no way to get down except for a rickety narrow spiral staircase which made loading the equipment very tricky. It was easily the sketchiest load in of our lives. The floor was dirt/mud and I played in bare feet to help portray the grittiness of the location. Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is a single clip in the video where you can see my bare feet."

Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based Christian metalcore quintet AUGUST BURNS RED will enter Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida on February 14 to begin recording its fourth album for a late 2011 release.

Suecof is no stranger to AUGUST BURNS RED's brand of metalcore, having produced the band's last album, 2009's "Constellations". The CD — whose sales have soared past 90,000 — established in no uncertain terms that AUGUST BURNS RED was a leader of its genre, a band that was quietly outselling, outdrawing and garnering more praise than peers who've been gracing magazine covers for years.

"We can't wait to get back to Florida to start recording with Suecof," says AUGUST BURNS RED guitarist and principal songwriter JB Brubaker. "We're just about finished writing and it's shaping up to be a huge sounding album. I can't ever recall feeling this excited to get started when getting ready for past albums."

"White Washed", the new video from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based Christian metalcore quintet AUGUST BURNS RED, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed in Philadelphia near the band's home turf and it "captures the chaotic energy of an AUGUST BURNS RED live show — a fitting move for a song that has quickly become a live favorite for fans," according to a press release.

"The video doesn't have a concept, per se, and maybe because of that ended up being one of my favorite AUGUST BURNS RED videos," says guitarist JB Brubaker. "We simply shot a performance video in a completely white studio space with lots of washed-out shots.

"Get it? White washed?

"It was a grueling day of shooting, but now that we've seen the end result, it was more than worth the effort."

The "White Washed" video's release comes at the front end of a busy summer for the famously hard-working AUGUST BURNS RED, whose packed schedule includes the band's first tours of Japan and South America, and a headlining tour of Europe, not to mention the summer festival circuit.

AUGUST BURNS RED will film its June 4 concert at Warehouse 54 in Manheim, Pennsylvania for a forthcoming CD/DVD, to be released later this year through longtime label home Solid State Records.
