Rocknews\\ Corrosion Of Conformity no Brasil 2013: ingressos para São Paulo

Pela primeira vez em sua história, iniciada no Hardcore com Eye For An Eye (1984) e que passou pelo Crossover/Thrash e se encontrou mesmo no Stoner e Sludge, a banda norte-americana Corrosion Of Conformity se apresentará no Brasil. O evento será realizado no dia 24 de agosto (sábado) a partir das 18h, no Manifesto Bar, em São Paulo (SP).

Nesses tempos em que o Stoner está em voga e muitas bandas estão pegando carona no que o Corrosion Of Conformity faz há muito tempo, nada melhor que ver Mike Dean (vocal e baixo), Woody Weatherman (guitarra) e Reed Mullin (bateria e vocal) em ação. O grupo promove o álbum Corrosion Of Conformity (2012), em que comemora trinta anos de carreira e com a formação do clássico Animosity (1985).

O Corrosion Of Conformity, que já foi indicado ao prêmio Grammy, teve seus vídeos exibidos na MTV e fez turnês com Metallica e Motörhead, apresentará seus grandes clássicos e músicas do mais recente álbum.

Premiere\\ CORROSION OF CONFORMITY: 'Feed On' Video Released

"Feed On", the new video from Raleigh, North Carolina legends CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's new EP, "Megalodon", which was released on November 13 via Scion Audio/Visual, (a.k.a. Scion A/V), the in-house record label and lifestyle marketing division of the Scion marque produced by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American market.

In a recent interview with Revolver magazine, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY guitarist Woody Weatherman stated about "Megalodon", "We did that in our hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina, which is kind of nice, to be able to hang around in town and not have to go out somewhere, go to L.A. or New York. Sometimes it's nice to record at home. You get a little better vibe. Plus I got to use all of my own gear. So it was fun."

Candlelight Records has just re-released CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's "Eye For An Eye". This special reissue has been remastered/packaged and includes the EP "Six Songs With Mike Singing". Both titles have been out of print for years. It follows the successful release of the band's self-titled album earlier this year. A deluxe digibook edition of the album, limited to 1000 for North America, is available at limited retailers and via Candlelight's official webstore. The digibook version includes extended liner notes and a rare pictorial gallery.

Formed in Raleigh in 1982, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY quickly transformed heavy music. Politically charged and socially aware, the band has influenced countless others and today remains humble about their accomplishments. Even though CORROSION OF CONFORMITY founding member Reed Mullin has officially reformed the band's classic "Animosity" lineup with Mike Dean (bass, vocals) and Woody Weatherman (guitar), he is continuing his involvement with CORROSION OF CONFORMITY - BLIND, a group which performs the entire original version of the CORROSION OF CONFORMITY "Blind" LP.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY - BLIND features Karl Agell, who sang on the classic CORROSION OF CONFORMITY (C.O.C.) album "Blind" (1991), and founding C.O.C. member Reed Mullin (drums). The group, which performs the entire original version of the "Blind" LP, also features Scott Little and TR Gwynn from Agell's band LEADFOOT, and Jerry Barrett, who was previously in BAD BRAINS singer HR's solo group.

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY - BLIND's set includes such classics as "Damned for All Time", "Echoes in the Well", "Dance of the Dead" and "Vote with a Bullet".

As previously reported, the classic "Animosity" lineup of CORROSION OF CONFORMITY — Mike Dean (bass, vocals), Woody Weatherman (guitar) and Reed Mullin (drums) — has reformed and is working on a new album. There are even some early-August shows lined up for the West Coast already, although they have not yet been officially announced.

Legacy Recordings, Sony Music Entertainment's catalog division, has set a June 1 release date for a new CORROSION OF CONFORMITY best-of collection in the "Playlist" compilation albums series. CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's latest album, "In the Arms of God", came out in 2005 on Sanctuary Records. The group's first collection of new material since 2000's "America's Volume Dealer" was produced by C.O.C.'s longtime collaborator John Custer. Besides working on four of the band's previous albums, Custer also produced C.O.C. bassist Mike Dean's track on Dave Grohl's PROBOT project and C.O.C.'s contribution to "Nativity In Black", the BLACK SABBATH tribute compilation. Playing drums was New Orleans' Stanton Moore, skinsman for the renowned jazz-funk combo GALACTIC.
