Rocknews\\ Municipal Waste no Brasil 2014: shows em São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro

Os americanos do Municipal Waste retornam ao Brasil em maio de 2014 para shows no Rio de Janeiro (24) e São Paulo (25).

A banda de crossover thrash do Estado da Virgínia, tem suas raízes nos estilos hardcore punk e thrash metal, passando por elementos de thrashcore. Os discos "Hazardous Mutation" e "Art Of Partying" foram lançados no Brasil e, a partir desses lançamentos a banda virou uma verdadeira febre por aqui, sendo muito cultuada pelos fãs do estilo.

Conhecidos também pelo "crowd surf" que já virou tradição nos shows, com a galera levando suas pranchas de bodyboard, para agitar ainda mais ao som original e rápido produzido pela banda.

Rocknews\\ Anthrax: "Among The Living" na íntegra durante turnê em 2013

O Anthrax foi confirmado como headliner do festival itinerante Metal Alliance Tour 2013. A banda promete tocar o clássico CD Among The Living, que contém músicas como Caught In A Mosh, Indians e I Am The Law, em todos os shows. As bandas Exodus, Municipal Waste e Holy Grail também foram confirmadas na turnê.

A Metal Alliance Tour irá rodar os EUA durante os meses de março e abril.

Premiere\\ MUNICIPAL WASTE: Animated 'You're Cut Off' Video Released

"You're Cut Off", the new animated video from the Virginia crossover thrash metal band MUNICIPAL WASTE, can be seen below. The clip was created by Pierre Mousquet and Jerume Cauwe of IMOV Studios.

Commented MUNICIPAL WASTE frontman Tony Foresta: "We've always wanted to see an animated WASTE video and this blew away our expectations. I'm stoked that the Wizard came out of his brief retirement to make an appearance as well. I've watched this thing over 40 times and I still keep finding hidden gems. "You're Cut Off" comes off MUNICIPAL WASTE's fifth album, "The Fatal Feast", which sold around 2,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 3 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. The band's previous effort, "Massive Aggressive", opened with around 2,100 copies back in September 2009 to debut at No. 10 on the Heatseekers chart.

"Repossession", the new video from the Virginia crossover thrash metal band MUNICIPAL WASTE, can be seen below. The clip was directed by David Brodsky of MyGoodEye, who has previously worked with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, GOATWHORE, HELLYEAH and SUFFOCATION, among many others.

Commented MUNICIPAL WASTE vocalist Tony Foresta: "We've been wanting to play in a junkyard for a really long time and felt the video for 'Repossession' was the perfect oportunity. This video is kind of sad for us, though, because we we say goodbye to our old tour van Pablo in it. We thought to have it imortalized in our video would be a cool way to see it go. RIP, Pablo!"

We felt that his vision and talent was exactly what we needed to help tell the tale of this cannibalistic space voyage. We hope this video makes people headbang, laugh, and puke all at the same time."

Added guitarist Ryan Waste: "As a huge sci-fi horror movie enthusiast, it was amazing to work on this type of film set. Jeff Speed and his crew have really raised the bar with this video and we couldn't be happier. Prepare for space terror and feast on our latest clip!"

Jeff Speed shares the following about working with MUNICIPAL WASTE for a second time: "One glimpse at this video and you will understand why my brother Chris [Speed, production designer] and I love to work with these guys. Anything goes! They have a great sense of humor, shredding tunes and bloodlust that is only matched by our own. Accepting the invitation to collaborate on more debauchery with MUNICIPAL WASTE was a no-brainer. A cannibalistic space voyage?! Where do we sign? We had a lot of fun making this vid and we were thrilled with the end product. I hope the world is hungry because the 'feast' will be festering on their plates and minds for a long time. Os americanos do MUNICIPAL WASTE acabam de divulgar a capa de seu quinto trabalho de estúdio, "The Fatal Feast - Waste in Space", criada pelo artista Justin Osbourn, da Slasher Design, e que pode ser conferida abaixo.

O disco, que será o primeiro lançamento da banda pela Nuclear Blast Records, tem previsão de lançamento para 10 de abril na América do Norte, e 13 dia abril para a Europa.
