Premiere\\ GOTTHARD: 'Feel What I Feel' Video Released

"Feel What I Feel", the new video from veteran Swiss rockers GOTTHARD, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new album, "BANG!", which will be released on April 7 through PIAS.

GOTTHARD has been at home touring the globe for over 20 years throughout Europe, North and South America and Asia on the back of 14 studio and live albums. They have collected multiple gold and platinum awards on the way, selling almost three million records and appearing at the biggest, most important festivals on the map of rock.

The dynamic boogie groove of the "BANG!" title track is also new ground for the band, reflecting their unbridled energy and pure confidence. Also worthy of mention is a duet with the unknown (so far) American vocalist Melody Tibbits on a ballad entitled "Maybe". As is the blues excursion the band takes in "Spread Your Wings". The final "Thank You" is a veritable epic complete with orchestra and goosebumps, flowing against radio friendly convention to a length of more than ten minutes. Written as a tribute to the departed mother of guitarist Leo Leoni, it serves as a homage to mothers everywhere.

The first single from the new album is "Feel What I Feel", a perfect demonstration of the group's talent for combining melodic vocals with strong guitar hooks. These songs are set against a background of classic GOTTHARD rock tunes like "Get Up 'N' Move On", "Jump The Gun" and "My Belief", which traditionally grace every album by the Swiss combo. All told, "BANG!" presents a compelling mix that is sure to take its rightful place in the proud legend of GOTTHARD.

Recorded and produced by Charlie Bauerfeind and GOTTHARD's own Leo Leoni at Yellow House Studios in Lugano in the Swiss canton of Tessin, "BANG!" was then mixed at the Dutch Wisseloord Studios (Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner) by Ronald Prent, who has managed to keep the GOTTHARD sound but transport them into 2014. No wonder, after all Prent has worked in the studio with bands such as the SCORPIONS, 3 DOORS DOWN, DEF LEPPARD and WITHIN TEMPTATION.

Apart from a standard jewel case, the album will be available in digipack version, with two bonus tracks and also on vinyl.

GOTTHARD's last album, "Firebirth", entered the chart Switzerland at position No. 1 — the 14th time that a GOTTHARD CD has topped the Swiss chart in the group's career so far. In addition, the album landed at No. 9 on the German Media Control chart.

"Firebirth" was released in June 2012 via Nuclear Blast/Warner Music. The CD was produced at the band's own Yellow House Studios in Lugano, Switzerland, with guitarist/songwriter Leo Leoni and Paul Lani (who has previously worked with GOTTHARD on several of their earlier albums, including "G-Spot" and "Homerun") at the helm.

"Firebirth" marked GOTTHARD's first release with singer Nic Maeder, who was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, lived in Melbourne, Australia and grew up between Switzerland and "Down Under."

GOTTHARD's previous vocalist, Steve Lee, was killed on October 5, 2010 in what has been described as a freak road accident in Nevada.

Premiere\\ GOTTHARD: 'Yippie Aye Yay' Video Released

"Yippie Aye Yay", the new video from Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD, can be seen below. The clip was produced by the band, directed by GOTTHARD frontman Nic Maeder, filmed by his father, Hugo Maeder, and edited by his brother, Sebastian Maeder. It was shot in the band's hometown of Lugano and it features the burlesque dancers Poison Ladies as well as three members of Swiss bagpipe outfit WILD BOAR CLAN OF LOCH LUCERNE.

"Firebirth" entered the chart Switzerland at position No. 1 — the 14th time that a GOTTHARD CD has topped the Swiss chart in the group's career so far. In addition, the album landed at No. 9 on the German Media Control chart.

Premiere\\ GOTTHARD: 'Starlight' Video Released

"Starlight", the new video from Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD, can be seen below. The clip was filmed in an old animal food factory near Berlin, Germany where scenes from the Quentin Tarantino film "Inglorious Basterds" were previously shot.

According to a press release, the "Starlight" video features GOTTHARD fans "doing what they love to do: a concert crowd, urging on their band as loudly as possible."

The filming went on into the middle of the night and saw the band performing in the middle of blazing flames in honor of their new album, "Firebirth".

"During the filming of the video, we could feel again that the chemistry between us and the fans was great," the musicians said. "We are sure this will be seen in the clip."

For GOTTHARD, it was very important that to include some of those fans who have shown the band support through some of its darkest times, including the passing of the group's longtime singer Steve Lee.

"We simply have the feeling that not only those of us in the band have become even closer but also our GOTTHARD family, those who are in our surroundings, are close to us and shared with us the difficult unhappy months after Steve's death," GOTTHARD said. "We want to show this in the video: we are a community and we are rocking together again!"

"Starlight" was released as a single on April 20. The title track was made available in two versions: a rock and an acoustic rendition.

"Starlight" was one of the first songs that the band wrote with new singer Nic Maeder.

"The chemistry between us worked immediately," says guitarist Leo Leoni. "It is really unusual to be able to sit down together and straightway write a song which is later the single."

"Right from the get-go, we had a really laid-back atmosphere between us," agrees Nic. "It was therefore not hard to come up with good ideas. It was really good fun from the start!"

"Starlight" comes off GOTTHARD's new album, "Firebirth", which will be released on June 1 via Nuclear Blast/Warner Music.

"Firebirth" marks GOTTHARD's first release with Maeder, who was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, lived in Melbourne, Australia and grew up between Switzerland and "Down Under."

"Firebirth" track listing:

01. Starlight
02. Give Me Real
03. Remember It's Me
04. Fight
05. Yippie Aye Yay
06. Tell Me
07. Shine
08. The Story Is Over
09. Right On
10. S.O.S.
11. Take It All Back
12. I Can
13. Where Are You? (dedicated to Steve Lee)

GOTTHARD vocalist Steve Lee was killed on October 5, 2010 in what has been described as a freak road accident in Nevada.

The "Firebirth" album cover depicts the firebird Phoenix, which symbolically rises "from the ashes to the sky" — this line expresses what each GOTTHARD fan feels and underlines the turbulent time that GOTTHARD has gone through in the past months.

GOTTHARD's first live shows with Maeder will take place in May in South America before the band makes several European festival appearances. The new group's German live debut will take place on July 14 at the Bang Your Head!!! festival in Balingen.

CrankItUp.se recently conducted an interview with GOTTHARD bassist Marc Lynn and Nic Maeder. You can now watch the chat below.

Premiere\\ Gotthard apresenta novo vocalista e videoclipe "Remember It's Me"

GOTTHARD

Hena, Leo, Freddy, Marc

O GOTTHARD É NOSSA VIDA!”, declarou o guitarrista Leo Leoni.

Confira a nota abaixo:

Morreu no local”.

SEFOTEU \\ Gotthard Vocalist Involved In Car Accident

Gotthard vocalist Steve Lee was recently involved in a car accident, but walked away unharmed.

In a statement Steve said, "I want to inform you that I have been involved in a horrible car crash in Italy on Saturday August 7, while I was on my way home from a little vacation. A car crashed into us on the motorway near Firenze, and it involved 6 other cars. As cars were slowing down the person in the car behind us didn't notice that, and crashed into our car.

Despite the accident I want you all to know that I am OK, I guess I must have a "Rock loving" Guardian Angel."
