Premiere\\ CRADLE OF FILTH: 'Frost On Her Pillow' Video Released
"Frost On Her Pillow", the new video from British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's tenth studio album, "The Manticore And Other Horrors", which will be released in North America on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The track listing for the CD is as follows:
01. The Unveiling Of O
02. The Abhorrent
03. For Your Vulgar Delectation
04. Illicitus
05. Manticore
06. Frost On Her Pillow
07. Huge Onyx Wings Behind Despair
08. Pallid Reflection
09. Siding With The Titans
10. Succumb To This
11. Nightmares Of An Ether Drinker
12. Death, The Great Adventure (deluxe edition digipak)
13. Sinfonia (deluxe edition digipak)
A mini-site for "The Manticore And Other Horrors" has been launched, featuring album audio, information, gallery, desktop downloads, plus a chance to download the track "For Your Vulgar Delectation" for free.
Recorded in eight weeks at both Springvale and Grindstone studios (where it was also mixed by Scott Atkins), Suffolk, "The Manticore And Other Horrors" is a testament to the longevity of the 'FILTH, as not only does it reek of CRADLE's (feared or revered) brand of delicious metal vamperotica, but this thoroughly modern album places the band firmly in fresh killing fields anew.
"The Manticore And Other Horrors" itself possesses an altogether new atmosphere for the band, incorporating a heavier, faster NWOBBM punk vibe that is both current and cruel, blended with ornate orchestration and the quirky immediateness of 2000's "Midian" opus.
The album's title can be likened to a bestiary, a collection of stories on monsters - personal demons, Chimeras, literary fiends and world-enslaving entities to blame but a few. "Manticore", the ravening title track, is a song about a beautiful mythological horror that comes to be feared as the disfigurehead of foreign occupation in the Indian provinces.
The songs "Illicitus" and "Pallid Reflection" bear the sweet ingredients of vampirism and lycanthropy; the wicked "For Your Vulgar Delectation" and "Frost On Her Pillow" are woven perversely into grim fairy tales, whilst classic, monumental tracks like "The Abhorrent And Siding With The Titans" both extol tentacular Lovecraftian values.

Traduza\\ CRADLE OF FILTH: New Album Details Revealed
British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH will release their tenth studio album, "The Manticore & Other Horrors", in North America on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Speaking to Metal-Trails.com at this year's Wacken Open Air festival, which took place August 2-4 in Wacken, Germany, CRADLE OF FILTH frontman Dani "Filth" Davey stated about the musical direction of the band's new album (See video below), "It's a slightly different direction for CRADLE OF FILTH. It's very fresh for people who appreciate our other works. It's a slightly shorter album, but we've concentrated on melody and different techniques that have been slightly missing from our music — it's a bit punkier, a bit more structured, a bit more singalong, but it's still extreme and it's still CRADLE OF FILTH."
He continued, "It's very hard to speak about it, because it's only been two years since our last record, so if it was so familiar, trying to explain what that record was like and what this record is like… Because there's so much going on in our music — there's symphonic parts and then there's really fast parts and slow, romantic interludes and, like I said, punk and New Wave Of British Heavy Metal in there. But it's all kind of wrapped up in theology and cinematic kind of soundscape. So it's hard to break it down and say, 'Well, this is what we're doing this time that's a bit different from the last time.' But it's good. We're really proud of what we're doing. I think people are gonna be very surprised when they hear it and go, 'Wow, that's CRADLE OF FILTH for 2012.'"
On the influences they have incorporated into the songwriting process for "The Manticore & Other Horrors":
Dani: "We're influenced by loads of stuff. We like recording out in the countrysides. We get a lot of influence from where we live. Music, obviously… [We're] very big fans of soundtracks, films and cult literature, 19th-century literature. Anything, really, can influence you, depending on the environment in which the album is created.
"We're very inspirational people, we're very artistic and stuff — sometimes autistic — and I couldn't actually where ideas come from, but, fortunately, we're not too few of them."
Comentários: Dani Filth de volta ao visual extremamente maldito. Aí, sim!

Lá vem o negão \\ CRADLE OF FILTH Frontman's 'Injuries' Force WACKEN OPEN AIR Cancelation
Short and blurry video clips have surfaced (see below) which purportedly show CRADLE OF FILTH frontman Dani "Filth" Davey in a physical altercation with a security guard at the July 14 Léz'Arts Scéniques festival in Sélestat, France. A photo of the same incident taken by MADBALL bassist Hoya Roc and uploaded to the Lockerz.com social networking site is also available.
Although details are scarce, Léz'Arts Scéniques organizers explained in a posting on the festival web site that they were forced to call the security and local police to subdue the "aggressive and unmanageable" Filth, who had become "dangerous to himself and others."
Roc included a caption with his picture in which he described the scene as follows: "When metal fantasy goes wrong !! Haha cradle of filth singer gettin yoked up by security"
Due to the injuries Filth sustained at Léz'Arts Scéniques, CRADLE OF FILTH was forced to cancel its appearance at this year's edition of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 4-6, 2011 in Wacken, Germany.

Lá vem o negão \\ CRADLE OF FILTH Frontman's 'Injuries' Force WACKEN OPEN AIR Cancelation
Due to injuries sustained by vocalist Dani Filth of British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH at the Léz'Arts Scéniques festival in Sélestat, France, the group has been forced to cancel its appearance at this year's edition of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 4-6, 2011 in Wacken, Germany. The bandmembers apologize and want to let all their fans know that they were looking forward to the show and they tried all they could to make the concert happen and are very disappointed to not be able to make it.
According to the Wacken organizers, CRADLE OF FILTH make up for this year's absence by performing at next year's edition of the festival.
Replacing CRADLE OF FILTH at this year's Wacken Open Air is TRIPTYKON — the group formed by former HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST singer, guitarist, and main songwriter Tom Gabriel Warrior — who will perform on the "Black Stage" on Friday, August 4 at 11:15 p.m.

Premiere\\ CRADLE OF FILTH: 'Lilith Immaculate' Video Released
"Lilith Immaculate", the new video from British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed by independent London, England-based director Ross Bolidai and delves ever further into the depths of the sordid and delightfully dark world of CRADLE OF FILTH.
"Lilith Immaculate" comes off the band's latest album, "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa", which sold 5,800 copies in its first week of release to debut at position No. 99 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder", opened with a little over 11,000 copies back in November 2008 to debut at position No. 48 on The Billboard 200 chart. This was slightly less than the first-week tally registered by 2006's "Thornography", which shifted nearly 13,000 copies the first week out to enter The Billboard chart at No. 66, and "Nymphetamine", which premiered with almost 14,000 copies back in October 2004.

Maratona de SHOWS \\ Cradle Of Filth - Gilded Cunt
Vem aí: Cradle of Filth em SP
Gilded Cunt
Your misery is worn as a veil
To hide bewitchment of the ugliest kind
In place of eve a bitter parody hails
Daggers from the swagger
Of a sodomites concubine
Bine (Bine)
Gilded cunt
Oh, you gilded cunt
Your thin pretence overstretched and sickly
Feigns love and light a long time laid in the grave
My preference leans to killing you quickly
Scissored in the gizzard
That a heart no more maintains
But I am tied
To the labyrinth and the beast
The one-way track of eyes
Black and grey like panzers
Loose your shell
Shoot the mouth
The gates of hell
Have often dropped their jaws about
Satans agents were perversion to bear
Side to side with their diversions
You use to guide my fingers there
Dirty little gold digger
Dirty little gold digger
Dirty little gold digger
Dirty little gold digger
Dirty little gold digger
Dirty little gold digger
Cunt (Cunt)
Gilded cunt
Oh, you gilded cunt
Cunt
Cunt
Nothing is above you save a boreal light
That halo paid for by a consummated ring of ice
And below you, will I see you tonight
Glower from your tower
Built of ivory and spite?
For I am torn
Between the sheets that keep me borne
And the teeth of a storm
They reap then rend my stanzas
Click your heels
Three times six
The stars are fixed
May I climb and get you one?
The palace at Versailles never held your tongue
Nor did heaven ever weather
The crosses that you came upon
Dirty little soul frigger
Dirty little soul frigger
Dirty little soul frigger
Dirty little soul frigger
Dirty little soul frigger
Dirty little soul frigger

Traduza\\ CRADLE OF FILTH's 'Jesus' Shirt Lands Another Fan In Hot Water
According to Australia's Brisbane Times, a CRADLE OF FILTH fan could face six months in jail over an allegedly offensive T-shirt.
Alexsei Vladmir Nikola, 34, was due to appear in court Thursday morning (October 7) on public nuisance charges after Brisbane police officers allegedly saw him wearing the shirt on George Street on May 6.
The shirt allegedly featured the words "Jesus Is A C**t" in large letters and shows a picture of a semi-naked, masturbating nun.
Nikola was due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court but his case was adjourned in his absence.
Read more from Brisbane Times.
According to Australia's Herald Sun newspaper, a Gold Coast teenager was charged in June 2008 by police for wearing the same CRADLE OF FILTH t-shirt. The teen was charged with offensive behavior under the Summary Offences Act 2005 for public nuisance.
The offense of public nuisance is characterized by behaviour that interferes, or is likely to interfere with the peaceful passage through, or enjoyment of, a public place by a member of the public.
Metro newspaper reported in October 2005 that a British teenage heavy metal fan was handed a community service order for wearing the same shirt.
Adam Shepherd, who was 19 at the time, was reportedly convicted under the then-new anti-hate laws which ban people from displaying religiously insulting signs.
The teenager was arrested after a woman complained to police when she saw his shirt, which shows a picture of a nun in a pornographic pose. The top was being worn by Shepherd's girlfriend when a police officer approached her. As soon as the teenager realized there was a problem, he told the officer it was his and swapped tops with his girlfriend. But he refused to take it off or cover it up and was arrested.
Shepherd, who bought the shirt in his hometown of Weymouth, Dorset, admitted the charge. Weymouth magistrates gave him 80 hours community service and told him to pay £40 costs (approx. $71 at the time).
According to MediaWatchWatch.org.uk, the wearing of this T-shirt had led to at least two previous convictions in the UK.
Dale Wilson, 35, of Norwich, was arrested by two police officers as he walked to the newsagents on Halloween 2004. He pleaded guilty to "religiously aggravated offensive conduct." He was eventually discharged and told to "grow up." He paid £150 costs (approx. $266), and the judge ordered that the T-shirt be destroyed.
Back in 1997, Rob Kenyon, 29, of London was found guilty of committing the offense of "Profane Representation under the 1839 Act" by Bow Street Magistrates Court. He was fined £150.
CRADLE OF FILTH drummer Nicholas Barker was also arrested in Dover and charged with "creating a public disorder" for wearing the same t-shirt. There were no further proceedings against him.
From the NME: In 2001, the then-Lord Provost of Glasgow, Alex Mosson, campaigned to have the t-shirt prevented from being sold at Tower Records. The record shop was raided on two occasions by police, and eventually agreed to stop stocking the garment. The Catholic League of America, back in 1998 (amusing "Victory for Sickos" story) and 1999 (their call to action), also complained bitterly about the t-shirt.

Traduza\\ CRADLE OF FILTH Frontman Leading Race To Be Named Top Icon Of U.K.'s Suffolk County
According to EADT.co.uk, vocalist Dani "Filth" Davey of British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH is leading the race to be named one of the top 10 icons of the U.K.'s Suffolk county.
As of this morning, the 37-year-old had 1,622 votes on the Suffolk Icons web site — almost 600 ahead of second-placed Broomhill Swimming Pool in Ipswich.
A pint of Adnams, a Suffolk Punch and the Middy Train complete the top 5.
The Suffolk Icons site was launched by Choose Suffolk, a partnership aimed at putting the county "on the map," and tourism manager Alex Paul told EADT.co.uk that the submission of Dani as an "icon" showed that there was more to Suffolk than just the traditional beauty spots.
"The web site has produced a great range of images and features of Suffolk," he said. "It's a creative tool. We didn't know what to expect because nothing like this has ever been done before.
"What's great is it's not just the obvious ones, there are unusual ones that are just as valid.
"There's no right or wrong here, although we are going to pull a few out.
"It's about everyone's voices being heard. It's not about going for the obvious and people feel that Dani Filth is an icon and is as important to people as a pint of Adnams."

Traduza\\ CRADLE OF FILTH: New Album Artwork Unveiled
One of the most infamous and notorious names in metal, CRADLE OF FILTH continue to shock, excite, disgust and inspire in equal measures. On November 1, 2010, the latest chapter of the band's dark history is to be released through Peaceville Records on the band's own AbraCadaver imprint (November 9 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records). Titled "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa", their ninth studio album is, in the word's of CRADLE's infamous frontman Dani Filth, "without doubt the fastest and most brutal album we've created to date. As an acquaintance of the band so aptly noted, this is like 'IRON MAIDEN on crack in a graveyard of angels!' This album is CRADLE at our most sinister and darkened fairytale," continues Dani. "A gothic horror themed slay-ride of fervour and perversion; yet amidst the orchestral melodrama and lush, cinematic production, there sits stalwart a ravening beast of furious riffing, flesh ripping vocals and monstrous, unstoppable percussion."
CRADLE OF FILTH — consisting of Dani Filth on vocals, Paul Allender and James McIlroy on guitar, David Pybus on bass, Martin Skaroupka on drums and Ashley Ellyllon on keyboards — recorded the follow-up to 2008's "Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder" at Monkey Puzzle studios near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. The bandmembers remain stalwarts to the satanic horror ethos by again composing a fully blown concept album, this time based on Adam's first wife, the lascivious Demoness Lilith; throwing Medieval nuns, Knights Templars, Greek mythology and lashings of sex, occult lore and violent bloodshed into the smelting pot, to create a darkly erotic nightmare set to their unique scope of supreme vampyric metal. And with an as-near-as-dammit release date of All Hallow's Eve 2010, CRADLE OF FILTH are snarling at the leash to get out to all of their fans across the world. "We can't wait to play this shit live," admits Dani.
For this release, the band wanted mastery of their own destiny, choosing to release the album on their very own AbraCadaver label in conjunction with Peaceville Records, home to such illicit luminaries as DARKTHRONE, KATATONIA, MY DYING BRIDE, BLOODBATH and GALLHAMMER, among many others. Vocalist Dani Filth has described the move as being "a choice to move away from the artistic restrictions/mindless inhibitions imposed by dwelling on a major label" and cites the current financial clime as "the perfect opportunity to start doing things our own way again, with the added benefit of being a far bigger fish in a proverbial pool, surrounded by people who have been handpicked to get the job best done. And more importantly... who still are hungry for the taste of music."
