De acordo com o New York Post, um grupo de comerciantes de Nova Iorque está com receio de que fãs arruaceiros do METALLICA causem estragos nas ruas quando a banda tocar no Yankee Stadium no mês que vem e solicitou ao METALLICA que tome ações preventivas para evitar violência.
Cary Goodman, presidente de uma associação de comerciantes da 161st Street do Bronx falou ao jornal que foi forçado a agir após fãs do METALLICA impedidos de entrar em shows da banda fazerem motim no ano passado na Colômbia e Chile, levando a centenas de danos a propriedade e prisões.
Segundo ele: "Quando li a respeito de confusões e motins eu pensei, 'Por que não agimos proativamente e colocamos um telão no Macombs Dam Park?'"
"Todos vão querer dançar. Eu entrei em contato com a produção do METALLICA no mês passado – mas ainda não obtive resposta."
Goodman também solicitou que um contingente policial extra esteja a postos em 14 de setembro e dobrou o número de agentes de limpeza pública em serviço.
