CIRCLE PIT \\ BRING ME THE HORIZON: 'Go To Hell, For Heaven's Sake' Video Released

"Go To Hell, For Heaven's Sake", the new video from the British metalcore act BRING ME THE HORIZON, can be seen below. The clip contains footage that was filmed during this year's Vans Warped Tour.

BRING ME THE HORIZON's fourth album, "Sempiternal", sold 27,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 11 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD arrived in stores on April 2 via Epitaph.

The five-piece, consisting of Oliver Sykes, Lee Malia, Matt Kean, Matt Nicholls and Jordan Fish, recorded "Sempiternal" over a three-month period with super producer Terry Date (LINKIN PARK, DEFTONES, SOUNDGARDEN). The band also brought in David Bendeth (A DAY TO REMEMBER, PARAMORE) to add to the all-star production lineup and mix the album.

BRING ME THE HORIZON recently parted ways with guitarist Jona Weinhofen. A permanent replacement axeman has not yet been announced.

CIRCLE PIT \\ BRING ME THE HORIZON: 'Sleepwalking' Video Released

"Sleepwalking", the new video from the British metalcore act BRING ME THE HORIZON, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's fourth album, "Sempiternal", which will be released on April 1 in Europe via RCA and one day later in North America through Epitaph.

Proving to be perpetual favorites among fans, the CD's first single, "Shadow Moses", came charging out of the gates in January after premiering on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show, forcing Epitaph to post the song on YouTube a week in advance due to popular demand.

"There's a very euphoric sound coursing through the album, a very uplifting but yet sad sound," says BRING ME THE HORIZON frontman Oliver Sykes. "Electronically, it's far more advanced than anything we've done before."

"Writing 'Sempiternal' was a completely different process," comments Sykes. "We worked from a computer, laying down ideas and riffs and working on them tirelessly until we had what we wanted." For the first time, "Sempiternal" sees a new member appearing on the record, Jordan Fish, who takes on keyboard duties on the record as well as during live performances. "Bringing Jordan into the mix changed things completely; he opened up so many more possibilities."

Sykes goes on to say: "The lyrical theme is everything. My head was a lot clearer when writing this time and it allowed me to write from a different perspective. It's the best stuff I've ever written, in my opinion. It's very dramatic, quite blunt, and at times sarcastic, but the biggest part of it — is how it is combined with the music to bring the listener vivid imagery and emotion. I think we really managed to pull that off."

"Sempiternal" is an embracing ride through soaring vocals, supercharged melodies and what can only be described as spine tingling metal anthems.

After the critical and commercial success of their previous albums, "There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let's Keep It A Secret" (2010) and their breakout success "Suicide Season" (2008), BRING ME THE HORIZON plans to take heavy music to the next level, incorporating the most dynamic elements of hard music to create one of the most exhilarating albums of the year.

"Sempiternal" track listing:

01. Can You Feel My Heart
02. The House Of Wolves
03. Empire (Let Them Sing)
04. Sleepwalking
05. Go To Hell, For Heaven's Sake
06. Shadow Moses
07. And The Snakes Start To Sing
08. Seen It All Before
09. Antivist
10. Crooked Young
11. Hospitals For Souls

Traduza\\ BRING ME THE HORIZON Guitarist: 'None Of Us Really Listens To Metal Anymore'

Niclas Müller-Hansen of Sweden's Metalshrine conducted an interview with guitarist Lee Malia and drummer Matt Nicholls of the British metalcore act BRING ME THE HORIZON when the band played in Stockholm with MACHINE HEAD on November 3. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

Metalshrine: When you write songs, do you write during a certain period of time or do you constantly come up with stuff?

Lee: Since we tour so much, we can't really write when we're touring, and we're away all the time, so last time we had three months off just to write a CD. We got off tour and went straight into writing and just wrote for three months and then recorded the CD. Usually we work like that, but the coming CD is different. After this tour, we've got nothing planned so we'll start writing in February or something. We'll have a few months to do nothing, because we've been touring pretty full on the last year. There's time to just be chillin' and come February we need to get back into it and start writing.

Metalshrine: Going into the studio recording, do you end up with stuff you don't use?

Lee: No, we only ever get what we need because we have that little amount of time to write and we just get an album's worth.

Matt: We don't write four songs at a time, we write bit by bit, so if something's a bit shit… we'll write one part that's good and then write one part and if it's not good we'll scrap that part, so it's not like we're scrapping full songs. I mean, we have scrapped full songs before, but that's usually how we write, bit by bit.

Lee: We don't really have anything left over.

Metalshrine: Later on, could you see yourselves do something that is completely different from what you do now?

Lee: Definitely! As we get older… None of us really listens to metal anymore. Everyone's into way different stuff, which helps us write. I don't know, as you get older you don't really wanna be jumping about on stage. (laughs)

Matt: We're surrounded by metal music every day on tour, so the last thing we wanna do is go and sit down and listen to a metal CD.

Maratona de SHOWS \\ Bring Me the Horizon - Anthem

Vem aí: Bring Me the Horizon no Brasil

This is an anthem, so fucking sing
A dedication to the end of everything

Someone call an ambulance, I got wounds to attend
Someone call a doctor, I fear this is the end
This happens all the time
This happens every day
But I never seem to quit
The wolves never stay at bay
I hate to say I told you so, but fuck it, I told you so
Don't say a word, I already know

This is an anthem, so fucking sing
A dedication to the end of everything

Someone call an exorcist and help me kill this curse
I can't stop the bleeding and it's only getting worse
This happens all the time
This happens every day
(But I) But I never seem to quit
The wolves never stay at bay
I hate to say I told you so, but fuck it, I told you so
Don't say a word, I already know
I already know

This is an anthem, so fucking sing
A dedication to the end of everything

Get the fuck up
This is it, the sound of giving in
Yeah, get the fuck up
This is it, The end of everything

Tastes so bitter, feels so sweet
Lost in a dream, never fell asleep
Tastes so bitter, feels so sweet
I've come back to old remedies

This is an anthem, so fucking sing
This is an anthem, so fucking sing

This is an anthem, so fucking sing
A dedication to the end of everything

To the end of everything

This is an anthem, so fucking sing
A dedication to the end of everything

Traduza\\ BRING ME THE HORIZON Frontman Comments On Online Impersonator's Attempted Murder Conviction

Vocalist Oliver "Oli" Sykes of the British metalcore act BRING ME THE HORIZON has commented on the reports that a 20-year-old male from the U.K. had impersonated the singer and attempted to kill a woman from California by slitting her throat.

David Russell has been jailed for life for the calculated kidnap and attempted murder of Maricar Benedicto, 19, from California. He will serve a minimum of 17 and a half years in prison after being sentenced yesterday (Wednesday, October 5) at Northampton Crown Court.

Prosecuting Queen's Counsel Christopher Donnellan told the court of Russell's actions, "He took her to an area of woodland off White Lane. He asked her to sit down on a fallen tree trunk and said he was going to blindfold her and said she would get a surprise or a present. He stood behind her, blindfolded her, asked her to put her head back, and her arms up. Although she did not see any implement because of the blindfold, the next thing she felt was her neck being sliced."

Benedicto then attempted to run away, but Russell caught up with her and stabbed her three further times. He then fled the scene, while Benedicto sought help in a nearby house.

Commented Sykes: "I woke up to the news in L.A., and didn't really believe it at first. It's very unsettling. I'm aware that people have used my identity for pranks and whatever, which has always been something that's been uncomfortable for me, but for something like this to happen is terrifying.

"My heart goes out to Maricar and hope she recovers soon. I would also urge anyone using social networking sites about a really great foundation called the Carly Ryan Foundation (carlyryanfoundation.com). Carly suffered a fate worse even worse than this case but the story isn't worlds apart. The foundation was set up to raise awareness and educate people on the risks of meeting people online.

"Stay safe and be careful."

TRETAS\\ BRING ME THE HORIZON Frontman Assaulted On Stage In Salt Lake City

Vocalist Oliver "Oli" Sykes of the British metalcore act BRING ME THE HORIZON was reportedly assaulted on stage during the band's headlining performance last night (Monday, October 3) at In The Venue in Salt Lake City, Utah. The altercation apparantly took place after several concert-goers threw water bottles at Sykes, prompting him to call out the culprits and send the projectiles right back. Several rowdy audience members then rushed the stage in attempt to attack the singer, with a few others starting fights in the crowd. Sykes was apparently unharmed during the incident, with the band returning to the stage a half hour later to finish its set.

Conclusão: Se você é vocalista de uma banda e quer dar uma de Axl Rose, primeiro tenha os seguranças do Axl Rose.
