METAL Xmas \\ MEGADETH Debuts New Christmas Disc 'Thrashing Through The Snow' On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

MEGADETH took part in a funny holiday skit on last night's (Monday, December 16) episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in which they debuted their new holiday disc, "Thrashing Through The Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas". In addition, they performed the song "Kingmaker" live on the show's outdoor stage in front of a standing-room-only crowd. Check out video footage above.

MEGADETH's tour with FEAR FACTORY and NONPOINT kicked off on November 23 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

MEGADETH's latest album, "Super Collider", has sold 74,000 copies in the United States since its June 4 release. The CD arrived in stores via MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's new label, Tradecraft, distributed by Universal Music Enterprises (UMe).

"I think 'Super Collider' is kind of like a really broad [distillation] of what our whole catalog represents," Mustaine told The Morning Call in a recent interview. "There's aggressive stuff, there's thrashy stuff, there's kind of more of the heavy metal stuff. There are someof the more introspective lyrics. There are some simple lyrics and soon and so forth. I think that's what really makes the record refreshing is that it shows everything that we've done. It's almost like a biopic of our career. It's a pretty good slice of everything I've learned over the years.

Just in times for the holidays, KING DIAMOND's "No Presents For Christmas" single is being re-released on vinyl for the first time in over 25 years. It will be made available exclusively through independent retail as part of Record Store Day Black Friday (November 23).

November 23 will mark the second year of Record Store Day Black Friday, with participating stores offering their hardcore customers limited-edition vinyl, CDs, DVDs, box sets, and even a set of music-themed trading cards.

"No Presents For Christmas" was originally released on December 25, 1985, with the track "Charon" on the B-side. It was the first music released by Danish heavy metal singer King Diamond's then-new band after the breakup of MERCYFUL FATE.

One of KING DIAMOND's most well-known songs, "No Presents For Christmas" can also be found on the reissue of KING DIAMOND's first album, "Fatal Portrait".

Thrash metal veterans SLAYER have offered their own contribution to "ugly Christmas sweater," a ubiquitous feature of the holiday season which began to sprout up in the last several decades.

"Ugly Christmas sweater" or "tacky Christmas sweater" parties have been a holiday staple for several years, but there have been very few places to actually buy these sweaters. That has since changed, according to Time magazine, which reports that vintage stores, the Salvation Army, and Goodwill are reaping the benefits of this craze, as are fast-fashion shops like H&M and high-end retailers such as Nordstrom.

The SLAYER "ugly Christmas sweater" appears to be only available in the U.K. and can be purchased from Backstreet Merchandise.

All the work of the past four months has come to fruitation for Canadian rockers Helix, who have released their "All I Want For Christmas Is The Leafs To Win The Cup" single and video.

The song pays homage to the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, an abysmal group of misfits who have failed to reach the NHL playoffs in the last seven seasons.

Advance orders for the green vinyl 7" record are for sale on Planet Helix and Bandcamp. The song can also be bought as a digital download and can be found on the band's latest gretest hits CD 'Helix" Best Of 1983-2012'. Comedian Tom Arnold will act as emcee at the event, which benefits the Maui Food Bank and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Alice performed in Hawaii last New Year's Eve as part of a band which also featured James Hetfield of METALLICA and Mick Fleetwood (FLEETWOOD MAC).

Na hora, até comentou o contratempo: “Os caras acham que sou criança. Mas já estou acostumado, na balada é assim também.”

Após se identificar, Pe guardou o documento, trocou algumas palavras com Ellen, parou para ser fotografado e falar com o EGO – disse inclusive que estava solteiro e queria curtir – e entrou atrás de sua turma.

Durante os shows que se seguiram, Pe e Ellen não se desgrudaram. Conversaram muito, curtiram as atrações, tomaram muita cerveja e chuva e se beijaram e abraçaram muito.

Metal Xmas \\ SUICIDE SILENCE Buys Toys For Less Fortunate Kids

California deathcore masters SUICIDE SILENCE auctioned off the shirt the band's lead singer, Mitch Lucker, wore in their video for the song "You Only Live Once" and spent all of the money buying toys for less fortunate kids. Mitch said, "We assumed [the shirt] was gonna go for like 20 or 30 bucks, but it ended up going for $800."
