Premiere\\ EDGUY: 'Love Tyger' Video Released

"Love Tyger", the new video from German melodic metallers EDGUY, can be seen below. The clip is, as the band puts, it the "most different video clip we actually never shot!"

"Love Tyger" is taken from EDGUY's tenth studio album, "Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown", which will be released on April 18 via Nuclear Blast. In addition to the regular CD edition, the follow-up to 2011's "Age Of The Joker" will be made available as a limited digibook containing two CDs. Also available will be a strictly limited hardcover earbook collectors' edition (28.5x28.5cm) containing the two discs, a photographic history with more than 130 photos from the band's archive, liner notes, touring history, and more.

In a recent interview with RockRevolt magazine, Sammet stated about the making of "Space Police - Defenders Of The Crown": "I had been doing this huge tour with my all-star project AVANTASIA, playing three continents with a 12-piece band. When I came back [home] in August 2013, it just felt great to get back in the studio and write something to the point. No sophisticated TRANS-SIBERIAN-esque rock opera with conceptual stuff and guest vocals; I just wanted to produce a high-velocity heavy metal album with my bandmates. I guess the starvation for that turned the album into the monster it has become. It is so fresh, so heavy, so anthemic, the playing and production are outstanding, I guess it was because we forced a very tight schedule upon us, so we didn't have too much time to doubt, second-guess or fix things that didn't need to be retouched."

He added: "I really love the album; it's got so many beautiful details, so many smart elements, but down the line, it comes over you like a tank. I love it, and yes, I knew if we'd channel our skills, we could come up with something. This band has been existing for more than 22 years, and we still haven't reached our peak in a creative way."

SEFOTEU\\ Edguy: Tobias cai do palco durante Bang Your Head Festival

Ontem, no Bang Your Head Festival, na Alemanha, Tobias Sammet escorregou e caiu do palco durante a execução da 5ª música do setlist. Tobias caiu no poço dos fotógrafos, no chão de concreto, sofrendo diversas escoriações mais sérias no quadril e nas costelas terminando com a quebra do seu nariz além de alguns cortes e arranhões. Ele voltou ao palco e a banda continuou a tocar por mais uma hora, fechando assim seu setlist, enquanto estava óbvio para os fãs que Tobias estava com sérios problemas. Por sorte ele está bem e nos mandou a seguinte mensagem:

"Obrigado pelas suas carinhosas mensagens. Eu estou bem. Não tenho a menor idéia do que pode ter acontecido, o palco não era liso, meu calçado estava bom, e não preciso nem mencionar que eu estava totalmente sóbrio o que deve ter sido óbvio para todo mundo por lá. Não faço idéia de como aquilo aconteceu. Eu simplesmente caí e de repente havia sangue e um pouco de dor, que foi ficando cada vez pior à medida que as músicas avançavam. Eu nem sabia que se podia tirar tanto sangue de um nariz tão pequeno, (bom, não está exatamente tão pequeno no momento...). O médico disse que meu nariz voltará ao normal em algumas semanas. Bom, havia tanta adrenalina correndo em minhas veias para continuar o show, os fãs estavam ótimos e não seria certo parar naquele momento, por isso decidimos continuar e deixar os médicos me consertarem depois. Eu estou bem agora, com uma aparência horrível e todo dolorido, mas e daí? Logo ficarei bem... Obrigado pelo carinho e por fazer do show um grande show, apesar do pequeno incidente... Cheerzz, T"

SWEDEN 2012 \\ MÖTLEY CRÜE, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, DIMMU BORGIR, EDGUY Confirmed For SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL

MÖTLEY CRÜE, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, DIMMU BORGIR, EDGUY, GAMMA RAY, DANKO JONES and PENTAGRAM are the first confirmed bands for next year's edition of the Sweden Rock Festival, set to take place June 6-9, 2012 in Sölvesborg, Blekinge in southern Sweden. Around 70 bands will perform on the festival's five stages next summer.

Three-day tickets (for the main festival days) and four-day tickets (including the Wednesday opening) for next year's event were made available this morning through www.swedenrock.com. The first 5000 ticket buyers will receive a Sweden Rock T-shirt which will not be available anywhere else. The design was made by British artist Sleba, known for his work with LED ZEPPELIN and "Star Wars", among others.
