O Maquinaria é o festival "irmão" do SWU.

ROCK in RIO \\ MASTODON: Pro-Shoot Footage Of Entire ROCK IN RIO LISBON Performance

Professionally filmed video footage of MASTODON's entire performance at this year's edition of the Rock In Rio Lisbon festival — shot yesterday (Friday, May 25) in Lisbon, Portugal — can be seen below.

MASTODON is touring in support of its latest album "The Hunter", which was released by Reprise Records in September. The band's latest trek kicked off on April 4 in Portland, Maine, and visited more than 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up with a hometown show at Atlanta's Masquerade Music Park on May 12. These shows featured Swedish metal band OPETH as co-headliners, with special guest GHOST providing support on all dates.

MASTODON last month released a split seven-inch single with Canadian singer-songwriter Feist to celebrate Record Store Day. This very exclusive and highly anticipated pressing features MASTODON covering the Feist song "A Commotion", while Feist covers MASTODON's "Black Tongue".

MASTODON was among the nominees for the 54th annual Grammy Awards, which was held on February 12 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The band's Grammy nomination was for "Curl Of The Burl", the first single from MASTODON's new album, "The Hunter".

MASTODON received its first Grammy nomination in 2006 for the single "Colony Of Birchmen", from the band's Reprise Records debut album, "Blood Mountain".

ROCK in RIO \\ Rock in Rio Lisboa começa nesta sexta-feira com shows do Metallica e Sepultura

No sábado, o Smashing Pumpkins e seu grunge melancólico; o new metal do Linkin Park; o punk do Offspring e o rap-metal do Limp Bizkit agitarão a noite.

MASTODON bassist/vocalist Troy Sanders recently confirmed that the band will team up with Sweden's OPETH and GHOST for a North American tour in April.

MASTODON is among the nominees for the 54th annual Grammy Awards, which will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The band's Grammy nomination is for "Curl Of The Burl", the first single from MASTODON's new album, "The Hunter".

MASTODON received its first Grammy nomination in 2006 for the single "Colony Of Birchmen", from the band's Reprise Records debut album, "Blood Mountain".

"The Hunter" sold 39,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 10 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Crack The Skye", opened with 41,000 units back in April 2009 to debut at No. 11. MASTODON's 2006 effort, "Blood Mountain", came in with just over 24,000 units — significantly more than the 8,000 first-week tally registered by its predecessor, 2004's "Leviathan" — which put it at No. 32.

Premiere\\ MASTODON: 'Curl Of The Burl' Video Released

"Curl Of The Burl", the new video from Atlanta progressive metallers MASTODON, can be seen below. Drummer Brann Dailor came up with the concept for the clip, which was helmed by director Roboshobo (a.k.a. Robert Schober; METALLICA's "All Nightmare Long"), who previously worked with MASTODON on the "Divinations" and "Sleeping Giant" videos.

"Curl Of The Burl" comes off the band's new album, "The Hunter", which will be released in North America by Reprise Records on September 27.

Following the band's in-store appearance at Criminal Records in Atlanta on September 27, the members of MASTODON will head over to El Myr, right across the street, for an after-party where they will play "The Hunter" and celebrate with a special "The Hunter" drink just for this event. Plus, get a special "The Hunter" koozie only at El Myr that night.

Rocknews\\ Superbanda: Jane's Addiction+Mastodon+Dillinger+Mars Volta
