Rocknews\\ Kerrang! Awards: Metallica, Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Anthrax

A premiação do “Kerrang! Awards 2009” acontecerá em um local extremamente sigiloso em Londres no dia 3 de agosto, e este ano os anfitriões serão o vocalista Corey Taylor, do Slipknot e o guitarrita Scott Ian, do ANTHRAX.

SLIPKNOT e Metallica lideram as nomeações para o Kerrang! Awards 2009. Recém-saídos de sua aparição triunfante como headliners no Download Festival, os nove garotos de Iowa receberam seis nomeações (incluindo duas nomeações para "Melhor Single") enquanto as lendas do metal do Metallica foram nomeadas em cinco categorias.

"Estou empolgado", o vocalista Corey Taylor, do Slipknot, disse em uma declaração. "Esse é só mais um motivo pra essa ser a melhor fase de nossa carreira".
