Traduza\\ CRADLE OF FILTH's New Album To Receive U.S. Release Via NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS

British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH will release their new album, "All Hallows Eve", in North America on November 9 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD will be issued in Europe through Peaceville Records on the band's own AbraCadaver imprint.

Frederick Jude, managing director of Peaceville Records, comments on this upcoming cooperative effort: "Football aside, we’re pleased to be teaming up with Nuclear Blast on this very important release. Given their resources, interest in the band, and track record in the U.S., we believe CRADLE OF FILTH will be best positioned to better the sales of their last album in North America."

CRADLE OF FILTH — consisting of Dani Filth on vocals, Paul Allender and James McIlroy on guitar, David Pybus on bass, Martin Skaroupka on drums and Ashley Ellyllon on keyboards — recently entered Monkey Puzzle studios near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk this month to start work on the follow-up to 2008's "Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder".

CRADLE OF FILTH remain stalwarts to the satanic horror ethos by again composing a full-blown concept album, this time based on Adam's first wife, the lascivious Demoness Lilith; throwing Medieval nuns, Knights Templars, Greek mythology and lashings of sex, occult lore and violent bloodshed into the smelting pot, to create a darkly erotic nightmare set to their unique scope of supreme vampyric metal. For this release, the band wanted mastery of their own destiny, choosing to release the album on their very own AbraCadaver label in conjunction with Peaceville Records, home to such illicit luminaries as DARKTHRONE, KATATONIA, MY DYING BRIDE, BLOODBATH and GALLHAMMER, among many others. Vocalist Dani Filth has described the move as being "a choice to move away from the artistic restrictions/mindless inhibitions imposed by dwelling on a major label" and cites the current financial clime as "the perfect opportunity to start doing things our own way again, with the added benefit of being a far bigger fish in a proverbial pool, surrounded by people who have been handpicked to get the job best done. And more importantly... who still are hungry for the taste of music."

Having recently published the long-awaited "Gospel Of Filth" grimoire of all things ghastly and ghoulish, the band will finish the new album, undertake its heavy press schedule and then embark on a full world tour in its support.

Momento Caras \\ TRENT REZNOR And Wife Expecting First Child

The Pulse of Radio reports that NINE INCH NAILS mainman Trent Reznor and his wife, singer Mariqueen Maandig, are expecting their first child, according to an interview with Maandig in Women's Wear Daily. Maandig did not say when the baby was due, although according to OC Weekly she posted on her private Facebook page that she's scheduled to give birth on October 10. She and Reznor have acknowledged that plans for a full-length CD release from the couple's collaborative project, HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS, have been put on hold until early next year due to her pregnancy.

The 45-year-old Reznor and 29-year-old Maandig met under what she calls "unusual circumstances" and were engaged in spring 2009, marrying that October.

This will be the first offspring for both musicians.

HOW TO DESTROY ANGELS, which also features longtime NINE INCH NAILS collaborator Atticus Ross, released its self-titled debut digital EP last month. A physical version is slated to arrive this month.

Reznor and Ross are also composing the score for the upcoming movie "The Social Network", director David Fincher's exploration of the controversial creation of Facebook.

Traduza\\ BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Frontman: 'We Never Envisaged That It Would Become As Big As It Has'

Hosking Industries recently conducted an interview with guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck of Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE. A few excerpts from the chat follow below.

Hosking Industries: You cited bands like METALLICA as major influences. What was it like playing with your heroes on tour?

Tuck: It was a very unforgettable, surreal experience. I don't know, man; it still blows our minds to this day that we got to meet those guys and play with them and hang out and get drunk and just be boys; you know what I mean? It's been one of the highlights of my entire life and I'm very, very honored to be part of the METALLICA family now. It's fucking amazing!

Hosking Industries: So they looked after you guys well, then?

Tuck: Yeah, it helped that they were fans of the band — which just sounds weird for me to even say. We were sitting in our dressing room on the first night and there's a knock on the door and in comes Lars [Ulrich, METALLICA drummer] saying, "Hey guys. What's up? I just wanted to introduce myself. Welcome to the tour." I'm like, "Holy shit!" The next thing you know we're talking about the making of "Master of Puppets" and all this fucking crazy shit that you just don't imagine would ever happen to you in your life; especially being the huge fans that we were. They treated us like complete human beings; which is all you could ask for, really. They just talked to us and hung out and were really polite and respectful. It was great — an amazing experience.

Hosking Industries: Did you ever think you'd come as far as you have when you were starting out?

Tuck: No. We always knew that we had the potential to do something if a label picked us up; but we never envisaged that it would become as big as it has. We've become a million-selling, global rock band, you know. That's not something that we anticipated when we first started. It was certainly something that we always dreamed of. Like most bands, that's the ultimate goal — to become a rock star, you know what I mean? To tour the world and have a laugh with your friends; which is what we do now. It's such an amazing experience and we never take it for granted.
We work super-hard to make sure we don't lose it. It can happen at the drop of a hat and it's something that we try really hard to keep.

Hosking Industries: What do your parents think? Were they always supportive along the way?

Tuck: They were always super-supportive. From an early age I'd been saying, "I want to be a rock star" and they're like, "OK, Matt. Save some money and go buy a guitar and show us what you can do." After a while they actually saw that I could, you know, shred a guitar within six months of picking one up and after that they're like, "OK." From then on they've been super supportive. They've drive me to practice and buy me new equipment whenever I needed it; like upgrades to bigger and better things. They even paid for studio time so we could do demos. They're just amazing parents and I couldn't have asked anything more of them. They did exactly what they needed to do because I had a dream, you know. I'll be forever thankful for it.

Hosking Industries: How do you handle the stresses of being on the road so much?

Tuck: We really don't have stresses, you know. The only stress that there is, is when we start to get a little bit burned out — fatigued — and then the shows start suffering. We really like to perform at the very best of our abilities and when you start to get burned out because the schedule is so hectic and the shows suffer – that's the only time I really start to stress. We never argue of have fights or anything. From that point of view, we're always super happy and we're always laughing and always mucking about with each other and it very rarely gets very weird on tour.

Hosking Industries: Do you find yourself coming up with song ideas that don't fit the BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE style?

Tuck: I have loads! I've kind of been thinking about doing something for a while that's not BULLET… related or suitable that I'd like to do something with one day. But right now it's just too busy. It's not the right time. Maybe in the future I'd like to do something unrelated — that'd be kind of cool.

Hosking Industries: What kind of stuff have you been coming up with?

Tuck: It's very mellow, acoustic… dark, mellow acoustic stuff. That's as far as it goes right now until I can get into a studio and develop the ideas. I don't really know what it would evolve into. I always write on a 12-string acoustic — it's one of the most beautiful sounding instruments on the planet – it's not BULLET… suitable; but I think the songs will be good enough to be heard one day.

Traduza\\ STONE SOUR: 'Audio Secrecy' Cover Artwork Unveiled

The cover artwork for "Audio Secrecy", the new album from STONE SOUR, can be viewed below. The follow-up to 2006's "Come What(ever) May" is scheduled for release on September 7 via Roadrunner Records.

STONE SOUR (Taylor, guitarists James Root and Josh Rand, bassist Shawn Economaki and drummer Roy Mayorga) and producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, ALICE IN CHAINS, DEFTONES) recorded "Audio Secrecy" at Blackbird Studios in Nashville during the destructive storms and devastating floods that hit the historic heart of Music City.

STONE SOUR has just released the first official rock radio single from "Audio Secrecy". The song is titled "Say You'll Haunt Me" and frontman Corey Taylor told The Pulse of Radio that it took him a while to warm up to it during the making of the record. "It was one of those songs that I didn't really feel until it was finished," he said. "I enjoyed the lyrics but I wasn't sure about the music. I'd come in and I'd sang it, and I put my heart into it because the lyrics are about my wife and how I feel about my wife, and then I left. And I came back and they (the band) had just made it incredible. Now I can't get it out of my head."

"Come What(ever) May" debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard album chart and included the hits "Through Glass", "Sillyworld" and "Made Of Scars".

The quintet will be previewing select songs from the album during this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. The 36-date tour launches August 17 in Minneapolis, MN and will visit arenas and amphitheatres across North America before wrapping October 4 in Madison, WI.

STONE SOUR debuted three brand new songs — "Mission Statement", "The Bitter End" and "Digital" — during the band's June 7, 2010 concert at Columbia in Berlin, Germany.

Rocknews\\ The Darkness: Justin Hawkins nega reunião da banda

Isso me deixa doido.

Uau. Isso é péssimo." [Risos]

Metal Sucks: [risos]

Eu fiz a minha parte nela.

Fico pensando onde estava a outra mão.

Traduza\\ THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA To Release 'Zombie' EP

Dayton, Ohio Christian metalcore band THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA will release a new EP, "Zombie", on August 24 via Ferret Music.

The track listing for the effort is as follows:

01. Escape
02. Anatomy
03. Outnumbered
04. Revive
05. Survivor

The song "Outnumbered" is now available for streaming at this location.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA vocalist Mike Hranica previously told the Alternative Press about the upcoming CD, "We have about two weeks to do an EP. We haven't really told anyone about it, so I'm not going to give away what the concept is, but it's going to be something really fun.

"A lot of bands do cover albums just for fans to enjoy and kind of laugh at, and it's going to be something kind of like that — fun, but not covers. It's not going to be a lot of full-length material, like what our next full-length will be. It's going to be… I hate to use the word 'brutal,' but maybe something along those lines."

2009 proved to be a breakthrough year for the young Christian metalcore band that has developed a mainstream buzz and secular cred. Beginning with a 43-date, completely sold out headline tour in spring 2009, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA — vocalist Hranica, guitarist/vocalist Jeremy DePoyster, guitarist Chris Rubey, bassist Andy Trick, keyboardist James Baney, and Daniel Williams on drums — went on to a main-stage slot on the Vans Warped Tour, and co-headlined (with ALL THAT REMAINS) the 27-date, fall '09 Napalm & Noise tour.

Mas ela me pressionava, e eu aceitava.

SLAYER's latest album, "World Painted Blood", was recorded in Los Angeles over two time periods, during October 2008 and then between late January and March 2009. The CD was produced by Greg Fidelman, who's spent time in the studio with METALLICA, THE GOSSIP, THE (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY, SLIPKNOT and others, and executive-produced by longtime SLAYER colleague Rick Rubin, who suggested Fidelman for the project.

The CD initially shipped with four special collector's edition covers. Each of the four covers displayed one-fourth of a provocative continental map illustrated with human skulls and bones; when placed together, the four images form a complete and grisly map of the world. All four of the initial album packages included a special blood-red, see-through top panel with the map displayed beneath it.

SLAYER's track "Hate Worldwide" was nominated for a Grammy Award in the "Best Metal Performance" category. The award eventually went to British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST, who were honored for the track "Dissident Aggressor", from the band's 2009 live album "A Touch of Evil: Live".

Traduza\\ GEORGE LYNCH, DON DOKKEN Sit Down For First Joint Interview In Years

DOKKEN frontman Don Dokken and legendary guitarist George Lynch (LYNCH MOB, SOULS OF WE, DOKKEN) took part in their first joint interview in many years during a recent appearance on the fifth season of VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show". You can now watch the entire episode in three parts below.

In an interview that aired on the February 21 edition of the "Turn It Up" radio show, Lynch stated that LYNCH MOB's West Coast run of shows as the support act for DOKKEN inspired the four members of DOKKEN's classic lineup to begin working together again. "Yes, actually it has," he was quoted as saying. "And that's something that isn't gonna happen for a little while. We all have our respective commitments, meaning Jeff [Pilson, bass], Mick [Brown, drums], Don [Dokken, vocals] and myself are all real busy this year doing other things. But we've all made a commitment to each other to dedicate ourselves to getting back together. We've already got three songs on the table and we're gonna continue to write throughout the year and put the whole business together and probably go in the studio late fall or early winter of this year and then have a record out toward late spring of next year, and then hit the road."

Lynch subsequently issued a statement retracting the above-mentioned comments and apologizing "for being preemptive," claiming that he "just simply misspoke in his excitement." He added, "We are TALKING about a possible reunion for 2011, but it's still in early stages!"

All the members of DOKKEN's classic 1980s lineup reunited on stage for the first time in more than a decade on November 29, 2009 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. According to Andrew Youssef of the OC Weekly, Don Dokken appeared on stage and said he had some friends he wanted to introduce. Jeff Pilson (bass) and George Lynch (guitar) joined Mick Brown (drums) for a two-song encore of "When Heaven Comes Down" and "In My Dreams".

Traduza\\ DEE SNIDER's 'Growing Up Twisted' To Premiere Next Month

What happens when Dee Snider, the legendary frontman of heavy metal group TWISTED SISTER, is the "quiet one" in the family? "Growing Up Twisted" follows the outrageous and oddball daily pursuits of the Sniders, who think their zany world is just real life, perfectly normal... only it's not. The seven episode series premieres with two back-to-back half hour episodes on Tuesday, July 27 at 10 p.m and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

"Growing Up Twisted" explores suburban life in Long Island through the eyes of an off-beat but tight-knit family of six who are fiercely independent, strong willed and unafraid to speak their minds. There is Dee, a loving husband, father and newly minted grandfather who is the legendary frontman of heavy metal group TWISTED SISTER, the host of the "House of Hair" radio show and the national spokesperson for the March of Dimes Bikers for Babies; his hot and feisty wife Suzette, a clothing designer and makeup artist and the glue that holds the family together, and their children: Jesse, 27, an aspiring rock musician, husband and new father; Shane, 22, the resident comic; Cody, 20, a budding filmmaker; and Cheyenne, 13, daddy's little girl, who is making the tough transition to teenager.

The series looks at the unpredictable daily life of the Snider clan including: a baptism where a song opens up wounds between father and son; a playful sparring match that has devastating consequences; the inappropriate behavior of a local store clerk that brings the Snider men together in a show of solidarity; and a concert where Dee performs with his offspring. Throughout it all, despite their craziness, the Sniders prove the love that binds them, no matter how twisted, is undeniable.

"Growing Up Twisted" is produced by Evolution Media ("Real Housewives of Orange County") for A&E. Dee Snider is executive producer and Ron Starrantino is producer. Executive producers for Evolution are Douglas Ross, Greg Stewart, Kathleen French, Alex Baskin and Kevin Lee. Robert Sharenow and Elaine Frontain Bryant are executive producers for A&E.

Traduza\\ TESTAMENT Frontman On 'American Carnage' Tour, Forthcoming Album

On June 29, Brandon Marshall of Sonic Excess conducted an interview with vocalist Chuck Billy of San Francisco thrashers TESTAMENT. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

Sonic Excess: The "American Carnage" tour is just one month away. How have you been preparing for the tour, and will TESTAMENT be playing "The Legacy" in its entirety as you did earlier this year?

Chuck Billy: No, we are not going to be playing "The Legacy", because we did that with MEGADETH early in the year. It's with SLAYER and MEGADETH, so we're pulling out some of our harder songs on "The Gathering" and "The Formation of Damnation" record.

Sonic Excess: What about "Demonic"?

Chuck Billy: Yeah, also that one. It's going to be a harder set then what we did for the MEGADETH and JUDAS PRIEST tour. We have covered a lot of ground over the last couple of years, and we choose our sets depending on who we're playing with and what audience we are playing to. This time around, it's gonna be a harder set for sure!

Sonic Excess: Twenty years ago, TESTAMENT played with SLAYER and MEGADETH on the "Clash of the Titans" tour. How do you think the "American Carnage" tour will be different, and why not call it "Clash of the Titans II"?

Chuck Billy: I don't know why they didn't call it that, but I think this time around... Shit, that was 20 years ago, that (the "Clash of the Titans" tour) was a big party with all the bands and crew. There was a lot of Jägermeister going around. Of course, back then the partying was more intense. We thought we would perform better being drunk, but that's what we thought. [Laughs] As for today, I can't speak for SLAYER and MEGADETH, but for TESTAMENT, it's more about the performance, and the show for the fans that are paying money. Before it wasn't. It was more about ourselves and how much fun we're having and how much we can get fucked up; we never thought about the people who are paying money to see us. Now, in our life and in our career, our number one priority is performing good and sounding good and giving our fans their money's worth, especially in today's economy. We want to give them as much as we can for their buck, and that's why we offer the VIP passes. We have never done that before, and when we did, we just started seeing so much fan appreciation. So, we kept doing it. It really is a chance for fans to speak their minds to us in person or just hang for an hour. This time in our career, it's all about the fans and the performance.

Sonic Excess: TESTAMENT toured with HEAVEN & HELL on the "Metal Masters Tour" in 2008. What will you remember most about that tour and about Ronnie James Dio?

Chuck Billy: We toured with BLACK SABATH back in '92 or '93. It was the last tour he (Ronnie James Dio) did with them before leaving the band. To do a tour like that again, and see everyone, was like old times. It was always special with Ronnie. He was a guy that cared about how things were going. To me, he was a guy with a remarkable memory. He remembered people's names that he met years prior. He was just a down-to-earth guy. We toured with him in Europe, in the winter, and we would always be in the dressing room and just hang out. It was pretty cool. It was special doing it out here too, with JUDAS PRIEST, another hero of ours.

Sonic Excess: TESTAMENT held off on touring Europe to work on the new album. What can you tell us about it?

Chuck Billy: Progress is slow. We are still working on writing the record. There's all kinds of things happening. We decided we weren't going to tour, then the "American Carnage" tour came up in February, and, of course, that was postponed. After that, we had planned not to tour and just work on the record. But that tour got postponed, and we went out with MEGADETH and did a few shows here and there. So it's been slow, with progress of the record, but it's coming along. We are leaving for two shows in Europe, then we gear up for the "Carnage" tour. So, we will see if we can write on the road. We may have some inspiration from the tour, so we'll see.

Sonic Excess: Do you have a projected release date?

Chuck Billy: Definitely early next year; first quarter next year.

Sonic Excess: How many songs do you have written?

Chuck Billy: We don't have any completed. It's just a lot of riffs.

Sonic Excess: Would you say it's a continuation of "The Formation of Damnation"?

Chuck Billy: No, I would say it has elements of it. I think where we're at is finding that ground. I like the elements in "The Gathering". I enjoyed the straight-forward power of "The Formation of Damnation". So, somewhere in there, there's got to be a combination of them both. We know what we are looking for and what we are trying to write, but until you write the lyrics and the melody, with the grove that makes you feel good, that's when it will happen.

Sonic Excess: Earlier you mention that you have quite a few riffs. Do you have one song structured enough to maybe play it on the "American Carnage" tour?

Chuck Billy: Possibly, but I'm not sure if we will, because Alex [Skolnick, guitar] isn't here with us writing and rehearsing. So we would want to be prepared. With the rest of the band, we write. Alex does his thing and goes on tour with different bands, and he meets us prepared and does his thing. The new stuff could be ready, but I think we are going to keep it under wraps for that tour as well.

Sonic Excess: What is the lyrical content looking like?

Chuck Billy: I haven't really written about my cancer experience and the whole spiritual experience I went through. So I might tap into a little of that. Just things that we go though, and what people go though on a daily basis. I like to write about the planet, so there is plenty of shit to write about.

Sonic Excess: With a nine-year gap between "The Gathering" and "The Formation of Damnation", were you surprised with its success, and do you have any added pressure with the new album?

Chuck Billy: With "The Formation" album, we were very excited. Well, honestly, not when we wrote it. I knew we had some good stuff. I was happy with the melodies right out of the gate. With a couple of songs, and literally the first time hearing it, we knew we had a great melody and pattern. It stuck the first time around and was very natural. We wrote a lot of songs like that. Until we actually went and mixed the record, we sat down and were like, "Goddamn, this record is pretty fucking good!" We couldn't wait for everyone to hear it and have the same reaction. Our goal was to be better than on "The Gathering", because there was a lot of hype on that record for us. With it being nine years, there was a lot of pressure.
