Floridian metalcore mob Trivium are preparing to record their brand new album as we speak. Find out about what you can expect from the effort inside!

Trivium’s new record is amongst the most highly-anticipated releases of 2011 and frontman Matt Heafy has been speaking to South Africa’s MusicReview.co.za about what people can expect from the album.

“It’s tricky to describe,” says Heafy. “We want it to be that this next album just sounds like Trivium. We may have said that every record’s goal is that, and it has been, but this time it’s without question. There have always been experimental songs, since ‘Ascendancy’, on our albums, and this time the CD will only have what it is meant to have. As of right now, there doesn’t seem to be an instrumental song that will be on the album. However, there will be songs that do things we have never had as a song formula before.”

Trivium’s new album is expected to land this Summer.
