The "Big Four" bands of 1980s thrash metal — METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER and ANTHRAX — played the third show of their European tour earlier tonight (Wednesday, July 6) at Arena Concerti - Fiera Milano, Rho, Italy.

The highly anticipated onstage performance of the "Big Four" bands at the same time happened near the end of METALLICA's set, between "Enter Sandman" and "Damage Inc.". Members of ANTHRAX, SLAYER and MEGADETH joined METALLICA on stage for a cover of MISFITS's "Die, Die My Darling" before METALLICA ended the night with "Creeping Death".

The members of SLAYER could not join the July 2 "Am I Evil?" (DIAMOND HEAD) jam at the "Big Four" show in Gelsenkirchen, Germany due to their travel arrangements to get to the next concert. They also missed the following night's performance of "Helpless" (DIAMOND HEAD) in Gothenburg, Sweden.
