O supergrupo Chickenfoot, formado por Joe Satriani (guitarra), Chad Smith (bateria - Red Hot Chili Peppers), Sammy Hagar (vocal - ex-Van Halen) e Michael Anthony (baixo - ex-Van Halen), estreou com o seu álbum auto-intitulado na 1ª posição do Billboard Indie Chart e na 4ª do Billboard Album Chart, sendo que o material tinha sido lançado há apenas três dias.
No próximo dia 2 de agosto a banda iniciará uma uma turnê norte-americana de quase trinta datas que durará até o final de setembro.
