The Pulse of Radio reports that Rob Zombie is collaborating with Universal Studios Hollywood to create a new 3D maze called "Rob Zombie's House Of 1000 Corpses In 3D ZombieVision" as part of Universal's annual "Halloween Horror Nights" event. According to a press release, "fans will be treated to a nightmarish world of carnage and chaos Rob Zombie-style based upon Zombie's cult hit film 'House Of 1000 Corpses'." The attraction is one of five mazes based on popular horror movies at the event. "Halloween Horror Nights" kicks off on Friday, September 24 and runs through the end of October.
While supervising construction of the maze, Zombie is also gearing up for his co-headlining "Halloween Hootenanny Tour" with Alice Cooper. The three-week run follows a shorter trek earlier this spring and Zombie told The Pulse of Radio why touring with the legendary Cooper has been a blast. "Doing shows with Alice has just been the best thing ever," he said. "I mean, I've known Alice for a long, long time, for 16 years or so, and, you know, I love Alice and I love watching him play and his show is better than ever, and everything about it was great. I mean, this is no disrespect to anybody but, you know, I've played a million shows with a million people, but that's the only person I've ever played with that it was really meaningful to me."
Zombie and Cooper's co-headlining tour kicks off on September 30 in Los Angeles and wraps three weeks later on October 20 in Nashville.
Zombie recently wrote on Twitter that he'll be making an announcement soon about his next movie project as a director.
A deluxe edition of Zombie's latest album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2", will arrive on September 24. It contains three new tracks called "Everything Is Boring", "Michael" and "Devil's Hole Girls And The Big Revolution", plus an alternate version of "The Man Who Laughs", a brand new video for "Mars Needs Women", a live version of Cooper's classic "School's Out" performed with Cooper, and a 30-minute DVD featuring a tour documentary.
