Influential '90s alt-metal act FAITH NO MORE will play the final concert of it reunion tour on December 5 in Santiago, Chile.
The band made a comeback in June 2009 with a headlining performance at the Brixton Academy in London, England and has been playing sporadic shows ever since.
Although fans have been hoping that FAITH NO MORE would eventually enter a recording studio to begin work on a new album, it now appears that the group has decided against the idea.
Keyboardist Roddy Bottum told Chile's Terra.cl, "In my opinion recording an album was a great idea. The balance was good because we know each other well. But things were complicated — it was very strange to return after a decade.
"When we decided to get together, it was to reconnect and relive something we had in common. It was very important to us — but doing these shows was the only thing we were going to do.
"The craziest thing was when we met for the first time, all in a room after not seeing each other for so long.
"When we started, I thought we would only see older people at the shows, but it was mostly young people and that was very surprising.
"We've visited many wonderful places and it's all been good."
According to Bottum, the band is considering having the Santiago concert professionally filmed for a live DVD, although this has not been officially confirmed.
When asked about what he thinks FAITH NO MORE's legacy will be, Bottum told Terra.cl, "We're a very humble band — we know who we are and we just do what we do. People sometimes say we've been a big influence, which we appreciate very much — we feel very honored.
"I've never heard INCUBUS, KORN or LIMP BIZKIT. People tell me ARCADE FIRE sounds like FAITH NO MORE, but I've never heard them either."
After FAITH NO MORE completes its reunion tour, Bottum will return to his band IMPERIAL TEEN while his FNM bandmates are expected to resume work on their own individual projects.
Comentários: Goool do Chile!
Sad But True.
