According to TheFrontSteps.com, METALLICA lead guitarist Kirk Hammett has finally found a purchaser for his Pacific Heights house. The pad, which includes the requisite sound studio and party room, originally went on the market for $12.5 million in 2005 but its latest asking price was $8,995,000.



Hammett, 46, paid $2.56 million for the gated, Georgian-style home in 1993. The Pacific Heights home measures about 9,000-square-feet and has eight bedrooms and eight baths. There's a music studio and a billiard room with a bar in the basement. The property includes a two-car detached garage and additional parking in the driveway.
