Amigo próximo e apresentador de TV, Riki Rachtman fez a revelação no Twitter, no domingo, sobre Gilby Clarke: "Algum idiota entrou na frente dele (Gilby) ontem, ele estava em uma moto e agora está no hospital. Eu estou indo prá lá agora."
Mais tarde ele postou no Twitter: "Eu falei com ele. Suas pernas quebraram feio. Eu estou indo vê-lo agora. O cara que bateu, fugiu. Eu contarei mais depois."
Depois de visitar Gilby no hospital, Rachtman escreveu: "Gilby tem umas fraturas consideráveis naquela perna. Fora isso, ele tá de boa.".
